SALESGURU’s mission from the start has been to give the sales profession its rightful place in the minds of salespeople and the organisations they represent. Sales is the cornerstone of every business and life success strategy. You know it and we know it, and through SALESGURU we are delighted to be able to celebrate that with you and help you to reach your goals at the same time.

Since 2006, we have increased our product range and offering to encompass all aspects of the sales sector which includes, the entire recruitment function, online sales training, sales events and the distribution of sales material in the form of sales magazines, books and DVD’s to help sales managers find the people they need, retain them, and up skill them.

Below is a brief timeline of SALESGURU to date:

2006: When SALESGURU launched, it was with a single product: SALESGURU magazine. That magazine has now far surpassed 50 editions, and continues to be the market leader among South African sales professionals.

2007: Following on quickly, SALESGURU Live! was launched to run our events which now run three times per year in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town and seat an average of 1400 sales professionals each time. These are being expanded constantly with unique international speakers planned for the events ahead.

2008: We teamed up with US sales legend Jeffrey Gitomer to sell his books and online training programmes associated with those books including the increasingly popular Little Red Book of Selling. We also re-launched the magazine into its current contemporary format, bringing it up to date with a faster-moving SALESGURU. Added to that, we launched SALESGURU FUEL, a free monthly email newsletter which provides a mid-month selling skills refresh to subscribers.

2009: Taking the lead from the popularity and success of SALESGURU Live!, we launched a speaking operation where SALESGURU executives and a selected group of premier speakers could be hired, through SALESGURU, to speak at our client events.  Currently, we’re busy around 100 days per year on this project alone.

2010: The launch of SALESGURU Careers puts SALESGURU into a brand new business space, helping sales employers find true sales professionals – and the other way around – and drawing upon our expertise over the past five years to do so.

2011: South Africa’s first Top Companies to Sell For handbook will launch later this year, providing another key opportunity for sales professionals to find out about the greatest sales employers in South Africa today, so they can plan their next career move. Also this year, the SALESGURU Store will open for the first time, on this website.
